Degreasing

Arkansas Parts Degreasing

Oil, grease and grime are the enemies of a good finish. If they are left on a part, a new coating can’t bond to the metal, and it will blister, peel or flake off early. At Arkansas Painting & Specialties (APS) in Little Rock, degreasing is one of the ways we get oil and grease off a part before it is coated.

Why Degrease Before Coating?

Contaminants left on a surface cause adhesion failure. Getting the oil and grease off first gives the coating clean metal to bond to.

  • Better Adhesion – The coating bonds to clean metal, not to a film of oil.
  • Longer-Lasting Finish – A coating applied to a clean surface holds up for years in harsh environments.

Equipment We Work On

  • Machinery clogged with oil, dirt and grease
  • Oil and gas valves, pumps and compressors
  • Farm equipment and machine tools
  • Wheels, rims, shelving and lawn furniture

If you can get your equipment on a truck and bring it to us, we can complete the job.
